How much do I get paid when my stories are downloaded?
Authors set the price for their stories with a minimum of $0.99 and are paid 50% on all purchased stories, whether purchased individually or through a credit pack.
When do I get paid?
We pay authors on a monthly basis, if they have sold more than $5.00 in stories. If not, their earnings accumulate until it reaches $5.00.
Is there any limit to how much I can make?
No, you continue to make money as long as people are purchasing your stories. So, we encourage you to keep adding stories and responding to reader comments to continue building an income stream.
Can I add more than one image to my story?
At this time, you can only include a single image per story. Including multiple images is a feature upgrade we are considering.
What types of images can I include?
You can upload .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .gif. Please make sure that you have the rights to distribute any images you upload. Many stock photo sites allow this if you check the rules.

Next Gen Stories is keen to provide exposure for writers by offering them a place where their work will be seen and read in a high quality, respected setting. The site receives thousands of unique visitors per month, so successful submissions are likely to be viewed by more readers than in almost any other short story publication. In addition, the site receives attention from agents, the press, film makers, schools, universities and other publishers.
Accepted authors receive a page on the site where readers can access all the author’s stories as well as biographical or event information, story background and links. Any comments posted to the site relating to your submission will be made available to you.
We do not require exclusive use of your submission – in fact, our comments system and author pages provide not only a focus for readers and reader feedback, but also a point for other publishers to contact you. All work can be removed within two weeks of you contacting us if this becomes necessary.

Does Next Gen Stories accept submissions from new writers?
Next Gen Stories is an open submission site that was built to allow parents and aspiring authors to publish their work. We are always on the look-out for fresh new voices and encourage you to submit your short stories for the children of the world to appreciate.
But, please note that this is a short story site – we do not accept extracts from novels (except where the piece is complete in itself) or works in progress. Rather than set specific word limits, we are interested in receiving any pieces that authors consider to be in the form of a short story.
