It was bedtime and Mommy was just about to walk out of the room when Princess RiverStar asked her ‘what is a rainbow’.
‘They are beautiful with lots of pretty colors and always bring a smile to my face’ said Mommy.
But, ‘what are rainbows’ she asked again?
A long time ago, people thought rainbows were magical bridges across the sky full of colors.
Some people even thought that at the end of the rainbow there were treasures to be found.
The Irish, for example, tell stories of a magical kingdom with tiny creatures called Leprechauns and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.
