My passion is creating things that help people enjoy their lives. I started writing as a hobby, but it is now one of my favorite activities. Inspiration usually comes in flashes when something triggers a thought that leads to a story and happens more frequently when I'm out in nature. Some ideas just simmer for weeks or months. But, most of the time I write down the basic outline of the story then return to complete it when I'm ready.
Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, entrepreneur and finance professional. I started writing short stories to read to my daughter who lives in Ko Samui, Thailand over Skype. After several years of writing, I've built a collection of short stories that I would like to share with children and parents around the world. I hope that you enjoy them and provide feedback and suggestions for new ones.
Lisa Bowen is based in Toronto; she’s a writer, photographer, publisher and a mother of two adventurous boys. She is constantly amazed that she has any time to write, but she doesn’t sleep much. As a result, she can usually be found with a green superfood smoothie in her hand. Lisa believes that children should follow their dreams and believe in themselves. It’s through storytelling she finds her footing in the world as a mom, spouse, daughter, sister and a homeschool advocate.
Her future books include Over At Grandma’s House, The Twins Go To School, New Baby Sisters and Eli and Max’s Space Adventure.
She is also the Co-Founder of Real Life Learning Inc.

I recently graduated from UC San Diego. This is actually my first time writing short stories, my hope is that you may enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. They've been inspired by experiences I've shared with my nieces and nephews.
